Who I Am
I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, but have now lived in the Mid-Atlantic for the majority of my life…and I’m still coming to terms with the fact I may be more Yankee than Southerner.
As a kid, I grew up watching old movies with my dad, a “film buff”, but also became addicted to the modern goings on of that which we define as popular culture. My adolescence was spent writing about it, for it or watching “classic” entertainment on television and big screen and trying to piece together some sense of it. Observing and adding commentary to those observations became a way of life.
I have always written and acted. I was a shy child unless I was on stage, and sometimes to get there, I had to write a performance piece. This multi- tasking has served me well. It has pushed me to try new things and take leaps before looking very closely sometimes. Adventures and hi jinks have ensued.
I have worked in community and professional theatre for over 30 years and, for several years, was a on-air radio personality for both country and adult contemporary radio stations.
I podcast and I blog (if sporadically), and I encourage you to subscribe and review both!
